Scostando il velo di paillette fashion, ed esplorando con più zelo quelle priorità che hanno squisitamente a che fare con il côté umano dell’esistenza, si scopre l’importanza di tematiche spesso scontate ai nostri occhi, ma che agli occhi di figure importanti come Giorgio Armani appaiono come vere responsabilità a cui dare giuste risposte.
Una su tutte: il valore dell’acqua potabile come diritto dell’umanità, soprattutto delle popolazioni che non vi hanno accesso.
Una risposta egregia su tutte, firmata appunto Giorgio Armani: la campagna charity Acqua for Life al suo quinto anno consecutivo di azione.

Il nome sembra ricordare i profumi Acqua di Gio e Acqua di Gioia, vero?
Esatto, nessuna casualità, bensì la volontà di Giorgio Armani di fare appello all’innegabile forza del suo mondo per amplificare la voce sulla necessità di agire globalmente, nonché di sensibilizzare e coinvolgere noi tutti a sostenere il suo programma di aiuti alle comunità in difficoltà, sempre in partnership con Green Cross International.

Nel 2015, dunque, saranno sponsorizzate nuove iniziative in Ghana, Costa D’avorio, Senegal, Cina, Bolivia, Messico e, per la prima volta, in Argentina: comunità che andranno ad unirsi alle oltre 80 nel mondo che ad oggi possono beneficiare dell’acqua potabile grazie ai progetti di Acqua for Life già esistenti.
Dalla costruzione di pozzi e infrastrutture alla sensibilizzazione contro le diffuse cattive pratiche di uso dell’acqua che mettono a repentaglio la vita delle persone tanto quanto quella dell’intero nostro ecosistema, Acqua for Life sta salvando le sorti importanti di migliaia di esistenze, nonché le nostre coscienze.

L’appello è infatti rivolto anche a chi come noi gode del privilegio dell’ampia disponibilità d’acqua pulita: il nostro dovere è imparare ad usarla davvero con buon senso.
In che modo? Raccogliendo la sfida che Acqua For Life lancia dal 22 marzo (22 aprile per l’Italia) ai principali blogger, media e web influencer in diverse nazioni: provare a vivere un solo giorno con soli 10 litri d’acqua, a dispetto del consumo medio di 100 litri d’acqua con cui ci viziamo.
L’esperienza dei partecipanti sarà doverosamente documentata e seguibile tramite gli hashtag #1DayOn10Litres #Helpgivewater e #Acquaforlife, nonché sul sito ufficiale (www.acquaforlife.org).

Moving the fashion glitter veil aside, and exploring more carefully those priorities dealing exquisite with the human side of existence, we’ll find the importance of themes that are often taken for granted at our eyes, but at the eyes of such celebrities like Giorgio Armani they appear as true responsibilities needing right answers. One for all: the value of drinkable water as a human right, especially for those people lacking it.

The name evokes the Acqua di Gio and Acqua di Gioia fragrances, doesn’t it? Exactly, it’s not a case, but Giorgio Armani’s desire to appeal to the strength of his world to spread the voice about the need for acting globally, as well as to make aware and engage us to support his program of help to the communities living in hardship, always in partnership with Green Cross International.

During 2015, so, new initiatives will be sponsored in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, China, Bolivia, Mexico and, for the first time, Argentina: communities that will be added to the other 80 communities in the world that today enjoy the potable water thanks to the Acqua for Life projects already existing. From the building of wells and infrastructures to the awareness against the bad habits about the use of water that endanger people’s life as well as that of the whole ecosystem, Acqua for Life has been saving the important destiny of thousands existences, as well as our consciousness.

The call actually is addressed also to us that enjoy the privilege of having plenty of pure water available: our duty is to learn to use it properly. How? Well, answering the challenge that Acqua for Life has launched from the 22 March (22 April in Italy) to the main bloggers, media and web influencers in different countries: trying to live only one day by only 10 liters of water, despite the 100 liters we’re spoiled by.
