Per i lettori di questo blog il nome di Sam Devries non è certo nuovo. Questa volta Sam torna con una storia che è già uscita sul numero di settembre di Manner Magazine, ma comunque ci fa un regalo, perché questi scatti sono stati realizzati in più sul set del servizio pensando proprio a noi. Protagonista è un modello in ascesa, molto seguito sul web, Erasmo Viana. Ho chiesto al team di Sam di raccontarmi qualcosa dello stile del servizio e a rispondere è proprio Pierre Mercier, lo stylist dello shooting.
“Ho scelto nero, bianco e sfumature di grigio per questa storia, perché tutto si concentra sullo stile di New York. E’ un modo pulito e intelligente di vestire, se si sta andando in ufficio, a passare una notte fuori, o a fare shopping in città. Anche se può essere qualcosa che è ormai molto diffuso nella scena underground, lo stile fetish oggi si sta facendo largo anche dove non era conosciuto prima, nelle strade, ma anche sulla passerella. Lo shooting mescola questi elementi, mostrando il lavoro di  un incredibile designer emergente della scena newyorchese: Ninh Nguyen. Lui disegna capi che sono creativi e non convenzionali, pur mantenendo un look sartoriale e raffinato. Ho mixato le sue proposte esclusive con abiti firmati Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Guess e Zara. I newyorkesi amano vestirsi in questo modo. Mescolare pezzi importanti e di marchi famosi, con capi meno costosi.”

For the readers of this blog Sam Devries’ name is not new. This time Sam returns with a story that has already been published in the September issue of Manner Magazine, but he decided to make a surprise for us, because these shots were made ​​on the set as an extra especially for us. The protagonist is a model on his rise to stardom, a known face now on the web, Erasmo Viana. I asked to Sam’s team to tell me something of the style of these pictures and it’s Pierre Mercier, the stylist of the shooting, himself, who explain us everything. This is what he told me:
“I chose black, white and shades of grey for this story because it is all about New York fashion. It’s a clean and sharp way to dress whether you are dressing for the office, a night out, or shopping around town. While it may be something that has happened for years in the underground scene, today fetish is making its way to the streets, stage and runway. This spread showcases an amazing emerging NY designer, Ninh Nguyen. He creates garments that are creative and unconventional while maintaining a tailored and refined look. I combined his higher end garments with pieces from Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Guess and Zara. New Yorkers love to dress this way. Mixing high end pieces with inexpensive fashion.”

Il primo vede protagonista è David F. (Q Model Management, New York).

You already know Richard Gerst, he has been a contributor to this blog for some months now. It is a pleasure and an honor to inaugurate a regular lepilloledistefano’s  column born thanks to Richard. From today and throughout the summer we will offer new, interesting faces chosen by the photographer, and this time not only males. Male and female models will be the protagonists of these mini shootings, which we called ‘Casting Private’, because Richard instead of shooting only  Polaroids, you normally do when casting models, chose more intimate moments, with a strong emotional impact, sometimes working in digital, other with film. An intense portfolio is the final result, not to be missed!
