A friend of stefanoguerriniarchivio.it, Richard Gerst, returns with his wonderful art to fascinate even more the followers of this site. This time not with an editorial, with his beautiful photos, but thanks to a video, a medium that is always more engaging and where Richard finds a passionate expressive creative mode.
Richard tells us about Joaquim, a freelance dancer, now a guest of the DASH Ensemble, Choreography Gregory Dolbashian, which he found so mesmerizing the first thing he saw him in a New York theater: Joaquim (his instagram here).
Joa, so call it friends, told us this about the experience: “Being able to tell a Story using my Body with Movements and dynamics and reaching people’s Emotions it’s my biggest Love. Dance is Freedom and my Stage can be Anywhere even on the Curb. “

I was fascinated by this intimate moment, so intense and full of passion, I gladly share it with you.

Un trittico di video (più un quarto di backstage, che racconta l’esperienza) che arriva in esclusiva da un fotografo che avete già conosciuto (ho pubblicato un suo servizio qui). Thorsten Roth, entra in una dimensione sensuale, parlandoci di una coppia e sembra di osservare una danza dell’innamoramento. Affascinante e sexy. Ho chiesto a Roth di raccontarci meglio il suo nuovo lavoro e mi ha raccontato questo: “Ho creato il concetto del mio fashion-video ‘TRIPTYCH (Trittico)’, in cui i modelli indossano underwear di Calvin Klein, per esprimere la moltitudine di sovrastrutture e ‘strati’ emotivi che esistono quando si entra nel contesto di sensualità, sessualità e genere. È stato importante per me per dirigere e produrre video che mostrassero dei contenuti e avessero un preciso e personale punto di vista. La mia descrizione visiva della moda riflette la complessità e il contrasto che secondo me sono insiti nel vivere, il modo in cui mi sento. Cerco di mantenere nel mio lavoro un’autenticità emotiva che mi permette di creare una forte connessione con il pubblico e con chi si confronta col quello che faccio. La maggior parte delle volte c’è nel mio lavoro un lato oscuro ed è parte del mio modo di tradurre visivamente quella che secondo me è la nostra condizione umana. Mi piace dare alla moda un significato profondo e una dimensione più ampia in quanto si tratta di una parte significativa della nostra vita, che merita un riconoscimento. Dal mio punto di te la moda è una dichiarazione e un riflesso di ciò che siamo e che la consapevolezza è sempre il punto di partenza il fondamento dell’evoluzione – il viaggio verso un posto migliore!” / A video triptych (and a fourth one of backstage, which recounts the experience) that comes exclusively from a photographer that you have already known (I published one of his amazing shoots here.) Thorsten Roth, leads us a sensual dimension, showing a couple and it seem to us to observe a dance of love. So charming and sexy. I asked Roth to tell us more about this new work and he told me this: “I created the concept of my ‘TRIPTYCH’ fashion-branding videos featuring Calvin Klein Underwear to express the multitude of layers in context of sensuality, sexuality and gender. It was important to me to direct and produce some Clips that actually show “profile”. My visual depiction of fashion reflects the complexity and the contrast of life, the way how I feel about. I keep my work emotionally authentic which allows me to connect with my audience. Most of the time I have a dark “edge” in my work – it is part of my visual translation of our human condition. I like to give fashion a profound meaning and broader dimension because it is an important part of our lives and it deserves that recognition. From my point of you Fashion is a statement and a reflection of who we are and that awareness is always the starting point, the foundation of evolution – the journey to a better place!”.
